The chaos of the last couple of years is (hopefully) behind us. Time to start off 2022 on the right, more organised, foot. While all of us have plans and resolutions for the year ahead, sticking to them is where the true work battle lies. Not to worry though, because we’ve got some handy ways to help you hold onto your hopes and dreams for 2022. Here are our top tips to be more organised this year.
Make A Vision Board For 2022
Know what you want from 2022? Well, then put it out there into the universe! Manifest your goals by making a vision board with your hopes for the year. All you really need is a piece of chart or a cork/felt board that you can pin your dreams, inspirations and goals on to. Want to go to Manali this year? Pin a picture of its snow-capped mountains to your board. Need to start eating healthier? Put up tasty and healthy recipes on your board. You get the drift. The idea is to see your vision for 2022 laid out in front of you until it becomes your reality.
Break Up Your Day
There’s a lot you have to get done in a day and the long list of chores and jobs that lay ahead of you might seem daunting. Which is why it helps to break up your day into parts and manage your time better. Instead of looking at your list as a whole, try knocking off one task at a time. And don’t forget to treat yourself once you’ve completed a fair bit. For instance, after every three tasks, treat yourself to a hot cuppa or a 10-minute Youtube break. It’s important to celebrate the small wins and stay motivated.
Get A Work Out In
A healthy body equals a healthy mind. It’s as simple as that. One cannot exist without the other. Which is why it’s important to focus on getting some exercise on a regular basis and being more active physically. It doesn’t have to be an intense gym session every time. Just 10 minutes of yoga in the morning or a quick jog will do the trick. In fact, you can try a different activity everyday to keep it interesting. Plus, exercise and a healthy diet go hand in hand, so make sure you get your daily dose of fruits and veggies in.
Keep Your Stuff Organised
From your masaladabba to your handbag, keep all your stuff neat and organised. For instance, when it comes to your wallet, keep only the essentials inside. Even though we’re all guilty of this, avoid shoving old paper bills and other junk in there. One thing that helps with this is to purchase a wallet that only has space for the basics like the Arden Minimal Wallet or the Ember Pocket Wallet. The same goes with your other things, from your drawers to your bathroom cabinets - keep it all neat and tidy. Bonus points for labelling necessary items.
Declutter Your Space
As Albert Einstein once stated, a cluttered desk is a sign of a cluttered mind. Decluttering your space is a very effective way to declutter your life. Give away the things that are of no use to you and clear up a lot of space. Just keep what you need and what you love, because that’s all that will matter. And it’s not just enough to get rid of what you don’t need. It’s just as important to keep the things you have neat and tidy. Assign everything in your home a space which helps keep things organised and also stops you from losing things.
Take A Break (or Many)
While getting a lot of things done quickly is great, taking ample breaks in between is equally important. There is nothing to gain from burning yourself out. Conserve your energy by taking frequent breaks to unwind and relax. Taking time out for yourself is essential in establishing a work-life balance. So, take as many breaks as you need in between work. Not only does this make you more efficient at work, it also makes you a more well-rounded individual.
We hope these tips helped and we’re sure that if you stick to these handy rules your 2022 is going to go great. Thank us later.
